description: Doris Nieh is one of the few women photographers to achieve top flight recognition in Hollywood. Shanghai born, she graduated from U of Iowa in journalism. She did all the still photography on "The Sand Pebbles" and had a role as "lady of the evening" in the same movie, produced and directed by Robert Wise. She also worked on "Caprice," starring Doris Day and Richard Harris, "Jamaica," starring Yvette Mimieux and "Dark of the Sun," with Rod Taylor as the leading man. Her new assignment is with United Artists' "The Wicked Dream of Paula Schultz", starring Elke Sommer, Bob Crane. For a sample of her still photography, turn to the spotlight in this issue.
