description: Beauteous Shirley Fong, 19, is winner of 1961-62 Miss Chinese Ka Palapala title in Hawaii University's annual beauty derby in which a queen is chosen from each of the racial groups represented on the campus. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fong, 1432 Victoria St., Shirley is also a candidate in this year's Narcissus Queen contest. At press time, a wire to Chinatown News flashed the word that Miss Fong had also won the 1962 Narcissus Queen crown.
