description: World renowned Chinese American director of photography Jame Wong Howe will be one or the judges at the Vancouver International Amateur Film Festival at Queen Elizabeth Playhouse, April 16-26, at 8 :30 p.m. Born in Kwungtung, China, he came to Los Angeles when he was five. From the first glimpse of film shooting near his home, photography aud films have been his life. As handyman at Famous Players' Lasky Studio, young Wong Howe applied himself day and night to learn the fandnmentals of film photography. Today he await the results of his Academy Award Nominating for Had while filming The Outrage with Paul Newman. (continues in p30)
