description: NAMED RECENTLY an associate to John B. Perkin Associates, a Toronto firm of architects and engineers is Victoria born Jack B. Mar, a University of Manitoba graduate who received his Bachelor of Architecture degree back in 1949. Since then Jack, as he is known to friends, has come a long way. Today he enjoys positions of increasing responsibilities with his firm. To his credit, these notable buildings in Toronto were constructed under his personal direction: National headquarters building for Salvation Army, Ontario Association of Architects headquarters building, addition to Holy Blossom Temple in York Township and University of Toronto's Arts Building (Sydney Smith Hall).
