description: The only Chinese professional boxer in captivity, Ward Yee, the Chinese Flash of Pasadena, Calif., has an excellent chance to shoot for the featherweight crown following his recent 10-round non-title bout in San Antonio, Tex. with present title holder Jose Becarra of Mexico. Ward dropped a close decision to Jose, but not before he gave his opponent a terrific lacing and floored him in the 10th round until the bell came to his rescue. Ward started his fight career in 1957. His record: 17 fights, won 11, draw 8, and lost 3.
